WFF and Images Cinema will team up on a one-night-only screening of Hello I Must Be Going, with Blythe Danner
By | On Jun 18, 2012 | CommentsWFF and Images Cinema will team up on a one-night-only screening of Hello I Must Be Going, co-starring Blythe Danner, John Rubinstein, Melanie Lynskey, and Christopher Abbott.
Written by Sarah Koskoff and directed by Todd Louiso, Hello - which opened this year’s Sundance festival and will be released in August – is a blend of fizzy comedy, family drama, and unconventional love story. It revolves around Amy, a vulnerable recent divorcee who moves back to her parents’ upscale home in Connecticut only to find herself starting an affair with a 19-year-old.
Mark your calendars: Sunday, July 1st at 7:00pm, the middle of the three-day holiday weekend. This falls during the WTF run of The Blue Deep, so Blythe will attend and do a Q&A with me after the screening.
Grateful to Oscilloscope Pictures is letting us do this event. It’s serendipity that Blythe is back at WTF this year, and that she’ll be able to attend the film in person. She’s been on our advisory board for a long time, has wanted to do something with WFF – and now she is. This’ll be a great night in the tradition of our past off-season screenings like The Illusionist, Rocket Science, and God Grew Tired of Us.
Tickets are $12 (Images members $10) and can be reserved in advance - a good idea – by calling(413) 458-1039. Proceeds will equally benefit WFF and Images.
